Exciting Facts About Our Production

The debut of our amazing 30'x20' VIDEO WALL! 

This piece of cutting edge technology will allow us to display high resolution backgrounds for our show. Without giving too much away, you're going to see some amazing inclusions of this technology in our show!

A Huge Number of Students

High School Cast of over 60, a Junior Cast of 25, and a Student Crew of 20, not to mention our incredible student and adult pit! Our productions have become a massive draw for students for a reason. It is a demanding but rewarding experience!

New Lights
Though it's easy for technology like lights to go unnoticed, the inclusion of four new "mover" lights, that are capable of display a high intensity beam in a wide array of color, display gobos (the design that goes in front of a light like a snowflake or the Hastings Choirs, Hastings Bands, or HPAC logo), and move rapidly with precision thanks to an incredible motor and computer system makes this a really awesome addition to our productions. 

Our Own Set and Backdrops

Everything you see on stage is made in house! There is nothing wrong with renting sets, of course. We LOVED our Matilda set in 2024, and our Little Mermaid set in 2020! It's just a special thing to have designed and created these ourselves with the help of adults and students alike. 

Portals

Like the new lights mentioned above, portals (the border that goes around the stage area) easily go unnoticed. They are however a wonderful way of focusing the audience's view on the action, adding some additional ambience and shape, and helping us craft a unique theatrical design. Portals were a part of our Matilda set last year, and we liked them so much that we decided to make our own! They were crafted by a professional welder in Grand Rapids.
